1. Program Description
PliersVoice is an AI phone-assistant service operated by PliersLab for trade businesses (currently in private pilot with HVAC contractors). When you call a PliersVoice-powered business and request an appointment, you may receive SMS messages confirming your appointment details, including the scheduled time, service address, and the diagnostic visit fee. Trade business owners who use PliersVoice may also receive SMS notifications about new bookings, urgent calls, and customer requests originating from their business phone line.
You will only receive SMS messages from PliersLab if you have explicitly provided your phone number during a phone call requesting service or have signed up as a PliersLab partner business.
2. How You Opt In
When you call a PliersVoice-powered business, an AI voice assistant answers and helps you book an appointment. After your appointment time is confirmed, the assistant will ask, verbatim:
"Before I lock this in — do you want a text confirmation with the details? Reply STOP anytime to opt out."
Your spoken answer is your opt-in. We send the confirmation SMS only if you say yes. If you say no — or if your answer is unclear — you receive verbal confirmation only and no text.
Your answer (yes or no) and the timestamp are recorded with your booking as an audit trail. Every SMS we send to you also includes "Reply STOP to opt out."
This is the only way customer SMS opt-in is collected — there is no web form, no keyword opt-in, and no shared or purchased list.
3. How Partner Businesses Opt In
Owners of trade businesses that use PliersVoice also receive SMS notifications about new bookings, urgent calls, and customer requests originating from their business phone line. Partner business owners opt in via one of two methods:
- Signup form checkbox. New partners check a required consent box on our public signup form at /pilot-signup before submitting. The checkbox is unchecked by default; the form’s submit button is disabled until it is explicitly checked.
- Magic-link confirmation. Existing partners (and any partner onboarded through our admin tool) receive a one-time email with a unique confirmation link. Clicking the link and pressing "Confirm" on the resulting page records their consent with a server-side timestamp. Until a partner completes this confirmation, no owner SMS is sent to their phone.
Each partner’s consent answer, the method of capture (signup form or magic link), and the timestamp are stored on the partner record as an audit trail. Partners can opt out anytime by replying STOP to any message.
4. Opt-Out (STOP)
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the number you received the message from. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

6. Carrier Liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Message Frequency and Charges
As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive SMS messages only in response to actions you initiate, such as requesting a service appointment by phone, or in response to bookings made through our partner businesses. The expected frequency is two to four messages per booking event (typically: a booking confirmation, optional appointment reminders, and post-service follow-up). If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
